Hey everybody. I am shopping for a monitor that will be able to fit into a 120Hz Eyefinity set up coming down the road, not necessarily for 3d as i see it as a fad and don't like it much. I want the 120Hz for the smoother game play and occasional 3D if my system can ever push it.
Basically what i want to know is how this would even be done. I know that one screen can use a Displayport to HDMI and reach 120HZ. I also believe that a dual DVI (I may be talking out my ass here) can do this. however that only reaches two on almost all cards.
I am running a 6950 and will crossfire it soon. but with the ports i have i do not see how this can be done unless there is some kind of magic display port to three monitor box or something of that sort.
Monitors are not something i know well at all so if you guys could be specific and help me out here it would be great.
Before anyone says Google, I have spent a long time trying to find this already and either the info is hard to find or I am just dense.
Thanks a bunch everyone!
