1/10 RC Cars

i have 2 savages, one stock the other hopped up a bit and has a STS .28 engine.

Also have a very old lancia delta integrale somewhere from when i was a tiddler :D

Most expensive hobby ever! I have 3 (2 watercooled) pc's in my house and it doesn't even come close.

haha, i know! my tc4s brushed 27turn motor is on the fritz so im looking to get a brushless setup and its like 100$ for used 200+ for new. its ridiculous, im seriously considering just getting a new rig, but drifting these bad boys is addicting.

oooo.....brings back memories!, must be 5 or more years since i last had them out!

had 5 Nitro RC cars, 1 1/8 buggy, 1 1/10 rally, 3 1/10 racing...

started off with cheapy Thunder Tiger brand cars, needed to learn how those things works, and they were cheap, but a few months later it fell apart, lol

then i went and got another Thunder Tiger 1/8 buggy, the .21 engine manage to produce enough power to snap both front drive shafts, then i got bored of it and left it in the loft.

then i wanted on road cars, got Kyosho 1/10s....there was a Pure10, and 2 SuperTen, one of which had almost every upgrade put on.

it was all fun going past cars at 60mph+.

and yeah.....bloody expensive hobby, one of the SuperTen racked up a bill of 1500 pounds, just on parts.....havent included controllers, servos, fuel etc.

I used to be heavily into Rc, owned several 1/8th rallycross buggys, just a few off the top of my head:

Hobao Hyper 7 Pro

Kyosho Kanai 2

Kyosho MP777 SP1

Xray XB8

Xray XB8TQ

The Xray cars were by far the most reliable while running them for 2 full seasons I didnt break much at all. The TQ also earned me a few 1st place trophys in events with national drivers like John Hazlewood. I used to have all the gear, top engines etc but I have just recently sold up this year due to not being able to afford it anymore and buying a laptop with the money.

Great fun for someone around the age of 15 but once alcohol is discovered you dont think twice about selling up.

Thurally enjoyed the expierence mind and have plenty trophys to show for it.

I've got an HPI Nitro RS4 Evo 3. It's a decent 1/10 scale, nothing fancy. I've played with the suspension, but it's mostly stock.
