Not so sure about that. We need to see some proper gameplay first. It's clear that this game uses an evolved version of Hitman's engine. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Not so much the engine as it is the 'vibe'. I dunno, that's a bit vague, but it just doesn't look exciting.

I'm with you on that. Ever since seeing it something has just felt off about it. It looks like it's going to play like a cross between Hitman and Uncharted with a 007 skin on the top; well, it looks like that to me at least.

I think it will be a good game in itself, but a good 007 game? Not so much.

IOI always had a problem with this. The people in their games never looked natural, for instance. It doesn't matter how good the game looks graphically, something always feels off about people. They give off a kind of wax sculpture feel. Then there's the fact that their levels are kind of perfectly structured, because they're basically puzzles. Which makes them feel artificial. It seems like they're using a similar approach here.

Also, it doesn't help that Bond looks like young Tom Cruise. What the hell?

But there's also the overarching "vibe". Maybe that's what you're referring to. The same kind of vibe that's present in every Hitman game and in Kane & Lynch. There's a unique, almost signature atmosphere to their games that isn't something that can be put into words. It's similar to how you can always tell a Guy Ritchie or a Tim Burton movie etc.

Ahh yeah, well said. Wax sculpture is a perfect description. I always loved the Hitman games because I feel it worked for that environment. The 'wax sculpture' aesthetic worked because of how comical and on the nose it always was. And the layout of the maps being like puzzles works in a game that revolves around finding new ways to take out a target in strategic ways. But I think of Bond differently. I think of him as a rambunctious but sophisticated man of prestige in lush environments.
