Intel i7 11700K Performance Leaks - Zen 3 Beating Single-Threaded Performance

On the surface looks to be a gaming winner, but I wonder what the power requirements and yields are for the units. Might well be pretty difficult to keep cool with an all-core OC.

Intel's gonna climb back to the top of the gaming charts.

Will be interesting to see how this and Zen 4 compete considering Zen 4 is meant to be another pretty big leap over Zen 3.

Also seen rumours of a Zen 3+ refresh with higher clock speeds. I can imagine AMD will not want to rush in with Zen 4 when Zen 3 is still struggling to find footing due to supply issues. Intel won't be competitive for another few months and even then won't be competitive in multithreaded work loads. And releasing Zen 4 too soon could mean AMD's progress will start to appear to slow down, even though it's moving fast. In other words, I can imagine AMD will want to slow down their pace when they're already so far ahead. I can see them getting as many sales as possible with current and previous gen CPUs before moving to Zen 4.
