Noctua plans to release a "fanless heatsink" later this year

Problem I can consider with this is that you need good airflow and most cases these days choose aesthetics over airflow. So a lot of people would get one, think it's a load of tosh then complain when it's their cases fault
 
They've already got plenty of 'passive' heatsinks if your CPU TDP is low enough!
NH-C14 with high temp threshold on 'Auto Fan Stop' on a 6700T seems to work out pretty well!

Yeah, but imagine what Noctua could achieve if they were actually trying!
