I have a 24" 1080P 240Hz Asus monitor and it's amazing for twitch type games but anything over 24" needs to be 1440P, 27" and 1080P are not something that should go together.

TBH I use vsr because even on a 24 1080p does my head in.

It's ok for Uber fast games like you say, but slower paced titles show no benefits and look like 1080p butthole.

Driving to 1440p helps and gives my Vega a better workout.

Outside of fps games or competitive games 1440p is the way to go without a doubt.
