ASUS brings the ROG range to the uncommon DTX Form Factor with the X570 Crosshair VII

Been many years since I last heard of new DTX boards, iirc AMD tried to get mDTX popular about 10 years ago but didn't really have the platform for it, great to see and makes a lot of sense.

I think though DTX was mATX width but height shortened for 2 slots, miniDTX I think is what's used here which is mITX width with height extended for 2 slots.

To bad my case wouldn't support this. Hate this damn case.. could switch I guess but I loathe having so many cases just laying around already.

Really Odd looking board I need to add this to the form factor thread.

So Mini-DTX measures in at 200.3 x 170mm, so just a longer Mini-ITX.

There's my board! I was afraid there wouldn't be any good mITX offerings at launch. Looks like it'll fit in any mITX case that supports a dual slot graphics card.

SLI/crossfire

I would have thought DTX would have been more common, especially once x370 released... Two 16x slots for single slot water-cooled graphics cards, or the second slot for whatever pci card takes your fancy.

With the pci4 m2 ssd's being released, presumably pci4x4, what is the restriction on pcie3x8 m2 ssd's being released?

You can't fit 8 lanes in an M.2 slot, lanes are a physical connection, not a measure of bandwidth, they're just sometimes used to express the latter.
