It looks like Borderlands 3 will be an Epic Games Exclusive on PC

Will the game launch on September 13th?

Read more about Borderlands 3's potentially being an Epic Games Store exclusive.

It's times like these I'm glad I've got such a big backlog of games to work through. I haven't finished Borderlands 2 or The Pre-Sequel yet so it'll be over a year past launch when I finally get around to considering buying Borderlands 3. I'll see what the situation looks like then. Assuming it's on multiple stores at that point I'll probably just get it wherever it's cheapest.

Thank you. Finally someone with simple logic. All this "not on steam, so not gonna buy" nonsense is starting to really get to me, for its idiocy. Odd thing is that I don't know why such a thing is annoying me. Maybe I just get frustrated at illogical reasoning.

I have seen it on the Metro exodus posting.

I don't really think it's stupidity or lack of logic though. Some people are just attached to their Steam libraries, and enjoy how easy it is to migrate an entire games library from one PC to another when upgrading. It's just more efficient if all your games are under one roof, so to speak. Me personally, I don't care much where the game comes from, but I understand why people may prefer to have one game system thingy and not 3 or 4.

Everybody already has 3 or 4 that's the thing. Most people already have Fortnite on Epic Store. It makes literally 0 sense to boycott for there reasons.

The other stupid reasons I see are "they sell your data to China". So dumb. Everything device controls your data and sells it to the highest bidder.

I wouldn't mind buying on Epic if they offered a better deal than Steam or if Borderlands IP belonged to them. Same with any other store. But they're trying to FORCE ME to buy something from them that should be widely available. They're limiting my options and they want me to pay them for the privilege. That's not gonna happen. I will play Borderlands 3 one way or the other, but I'll never purchase it from an anti-consumerist platform.

To be fair they technically did a good chunk of the development work, and given the 23% lower cut taken via Epic store as a result of them waving the license fee for their engine I doubt it'll be the same price as Steam.

Meh if it's half as good as BL2 I'll happily pre order.

As if I'd cut my nose off to spite my face on a game as promising as this.

You guys do what you like, but I'm having some of this. Biggest promise for a decent game in years.
