Halo: The Master Cheif Collection is Reportedly "Close to Release" on PC

There was that time when they had an official Windows 10 logo on Halo 5...

As I said. I think this is a matter of when, not if. With Halo 5 Forge running on PC it wouldn't be too hard to get the full game working.

I have had a source tell me in the past that Microsoft has had PC builds for Halo 5 as far back as 2016. The Xbox One X updates took priority though. Now I think they are waiting for their updated PC storefront, to avoid the usual "but the Windows Store is awful" issues.

I seriously hope that this proves true. I've been waiting for Halo to come to PC proper for almost a decade since I moved away from consoles as my main system.

It'd mean I would move the Xbox One X a long way down my wishlist and focus on other things, such a new ultrawide monitor, or maybe even put it towards learning to ride motorcycles.

Let's hope it's actually good and not a bug ridden mess (for months) that doesn't even connect to servers for a few days at launch
