Monolithic dies FTL. Funny part is that some of that price point will be down to AMD, so god only knows what they would be asking sans any Threadripper.

There's not much reason or evidence to suggest Intel have altered their pricing structure in response to AMD in any price range really. They did bring more cores to consumer platforms, but they still kept a similar premium on the price/core. Intel have long rigged the playing field in their favour and still have many OEMs in their pocket(And public mindshare, with that feeding off the prior point), so it doesn't matter too much how their products compete on price/perf still for now. In a free and open market it would be a different story of course.
