Nvidia Confirms Issues Impacting Early Production Run RTX 2080 Ti GPUs

Nvidia's manufacturing issue appears to be limited enough for them to be able to avoid a costly product recall, avoiding a PR nightmare in the process

So they say, I guess they are keeping the lid on this as much as possible, their share price has tumbled recently so I guess they want to avoid any further reasons. Surely they should be writing to their customers on the affected batches now that they have admitted this?

Why would they?

They would rather customers keep the faulty ones. But they will at least replace them if the customer reaches out to them via direct messaging or store it was purchased.

Some people have been underclocking memory slightly and made the problem go away.

Shame their not doing a recall like they did with the original shield tablet.

I at least hope there doing advanced RMA !!

I really wonder how many times does Nvidia have to commit an actual criminal act of fraud for people to take a hint.

It would be nice if NVidia made a goodwill gesture like giving anyone with an effected 2080 Ti a free upgrade to the Turing Titan when it arrives.

Unfortunately the above is not going to happen and I must lay off the fruit juice this xmas.:D

There is always going to be hic-ups/ problems with a new release ,you think it should have been sorted before release but some always get through.

But i wonder if Nvidia would have said anything if the reviewer community had not have started looking into it :headscratch:
