Intel reveals unlocked 28-core Intel XEON W-3175X processor

I predict around £2000 for the 28 core at the very least.

Oh your are going to be right on that front , I see there using what looks like an asus ryujin cooler missing its top block cover , says something for its performance if it can keep 255w tdp zeon in check

I'm purely going off of previous pricing as every gen Intels top end X chip seems to get more and more expensive.

actually on that hypothesis guess approx pricing 6950x £1600 7980xe £ 2200 W-3175x ???? possible £3000 , and it wouldn't surprise me either

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised either, Die hard Intel fans just like die hard Nvidia fans will pay whatever Intel ask and not flinch.

Intel could ask for £5000 and there would be people trying to make a case for it ^_^

I predict around £2000 for the 28 core at the very least.

Given the fact that the XEON Platinum 8180, which is also 28-core and has the same socket, costs ~$10500 and can't be overclocked, I highly doubt that the price will be that low.

Given it's Intel and they like to have high prices for there stuff because you know "We are Intel, they will be buy it regardless" I am expecting these to be in the £3K to £5K mark but if they stick to Xeon level pricing then it's gonna be around £11K to £13K.

The motherboards I reckon are going to be around £600+ and the ram well we all know ram prices are stupid at the moment, so I reckon this being 6 channel you are going to be looking at around £200 for 18Gb since you can't do 16Gb in 6 channel kits by my maths.

All I'm gonna say is that Intel decided to call this product a Xeon. Xeons are expensive!

Consider the core count and clock speeds that this model offers and compare that to other Xeons. This isn't designed for consumers, this is just Intel saying "look guys, we are winning!".
