Talk about typos

Are there no new i3s? With i7s losing HT, all the renaming would've not been necessary... Now it's 9,7,5 instead of 7,5,3 or what?

Got to have bigger numbers than AMD haven't they. R3, R5 and R7 can't compete with i5, i7 and i9. The numbers are bigger at each level, there's no argument.

From a relative newbie in this field, you get the distinct feeling that intel threw there development road map out the window, and have no idea how to deal with competition

So, i can see people ordering a 9700k and not paying attention, simply thinking its an upgraded 8700k, and then getting it realizing that it doesnt have HT. This IMO, is a really stupid way of doing things. Why remove HT from i7 CPUs when that has always been one of their distinguishing traits?

If that chart is true, that 95W TDP on the i9 is quite impressive... It has to require some aggressive binning, so I fully expect it to cost around 800€.

Dual Core i7's with HT have been around for a long time now.

Well I'm waiting for official figures cos the leaks have been all over the place. No 10nm and losing ht on the i7? I don't want to believe this. The only way I can see this working is some SUPER price decreases. i7s for the same price as last gens i5s.
