They would be very dumb if they didn't release a PC version in my opinion, and since Take2's CEO has come out with some surprisingly sane statements about business and video game development, I'd wager this is true.

Yeah, it would be really dumb not to release it for the PC. I'm actually not going to build a new PC until they announce system requirements for this because I think this one will be worth an upgrade. That being said, I would also not be surprised if the game isn't much more demanding than GTA V, since it's supposed to run at on Xbone and PS4.

Yup, all that coding and you can have a third payday...

Doesn't matter to me any more. Will get it on the Xbone for sure.

I was actually planning on buying a PS/4 just for RDR2. I've done it before with GTA V when I bought an Xbox, and it's a terrible waste since I'll use it for some weeks and just throw it away. I think this time I will wait for a PC release and stay the heck away from Twitch and Let's Play videos

Red Dead is a game I really don't want to play on console. The slow motion requires pinpoint accuracy, and I'm rubbish with a controller. Playing Max Payne 3, for instance, on console vs PC is night and day. It's not the graphics or FPS, it's the fact that I can actually pull off the moves that make the combat so satisfying. The nightclub scene early on in Max Payne 3 where you first are given a scripted slow motion sequence, killing all five or six assailants before hitting the floor would be impossible without a mouse—even with a mouse it takes skill. Similarly in RDR, riding a horse and trying to hit three other riders on horses in the head with slow motion and only six rounds in a chamber is nigh on impossible for me without a mouse and keyboard. The first Red Dead I barely limped by. I played it purely for the experience and story, not the action. PC is the way to play that game. Greater draw distances, higher FPS, higher accuracy, it's essential in my opinion if you want the full experience. It's not like GTA V where you have auto aim and fully automatic weapons. RDR is a much classier game, if you can call violence classy.
