Samsung will reportedly ship LPDDR5 storage and UFS 3.0 storage later this year

I'm guessing this means DDR4 is getting replaced sometime this year and we should expect new CPU's/mobos.

There is a lot more incentive to release LPDDR5 on mobile, as both the speed and power are helpful to end users and manufacturers. It will take longer for desktops a little longer to adopt it, as AMD's roadmap has the socket compatibility until 2020 for AM4.

TBH we don't need to rush DDR5 for speed reasons, at least on desktop platforms. There is no need to rush it.
