ASUS shows TUF Gaming GT501 chassis

Don't like that textured front, I'd be constantly cleaning it thinking it's really dirty

I couldn't help but think "meh" looking at it. It will inevitably come to the price, but with ASUS name on it, I won't hold out a lot of hope

I don't know man, it if is supposed to look dirty then that means that you never have to clean it. :P

The link goes to the picture and not the Article :)

it need a good bit of work to make it worth that asking price

Aye I get that, I'm just too hell bent keeping everything clean. Having something that deliberately looks dirty would drive me mad :D

TUF at least for me died after their last good motherboard, The Z97 Sabertooth, After that the styling of TUF started to look like they had a child as design intern.

Not enough RGB lights for you was it? haha. Nah I agree. Z97 was a good looking board.I even had the Mark S "sabranco".

The ones now seem to be running out of originality, or at least have difficulties distinguishing the new gen each time. They do look a little drab.

I know you're only joking :p but in all honesty the newer TUF mobos have too many lights on them for my liking, My own favourite build was my X99 TUF build, The only lights were on the AIO pump which was set to white, GPU was set to white and fans were the white LED MagLev fans,It was a nice monochrome theme.

Yep, unfortunately have to agree with this.

I used to run Sabertooth exclusively. Had the 990FX, 990FX R2.0 and Z97 Mark 1 and they were utterly fantastic boards. But it just seems like it's been thrown into the shed now.

I had the Z77, Z87, Z97 and X99 TUF boards, Performance was rock solid and style was on point, Now, Not so much in the style department, Seems to have gone backwards.

Aye, it's genuinely a shame. I'm quite annoyed with the lack of AMD option personally. (The B350 and X470 are just pure "meh") If there was a Sabertooth X370 Mark 1 when Ryzen launched, hell, even an X470 Mark 1, I would have jumped on it straight away but I digress. I do like styling of the X299 I won't lie but all the other TUF boards just look horrible.

Plus dropping Sabertooth in favour of just TUF was a downright stupid move. They should have just kept Sabertooth naming for the motherboards, another naming scheme for Cases and any other TUF branded gear. Just like with RoG

The main problem with TUF now is that it is mid-range. ASUS doesn't sell any high-end TUF motherboards anymore.
