Is this a simple matter of supply and demand?

Special thanks to TheF3ARChannel for the info.

Good, I paid £140 for my 2x8GB sticks of Corsair Vengeance RGB 3600MHz, It now costs £230, That's an insane hike in price.

Same, my 16GB Corsair LED 3200MHz kit cost me £100 when I bought it and now is over £200.

I remember seeing this on the AMD subreddit and someone pointing out that the GPU draught was real but no evidence of DRAM/NAND draught since RAM, SSDs and everything were always in stock.

I hope the EU commission jump in on this as well.

Would be nice for a government body to work FOR the people for once.

I remember back in the ddr3 days being able to buy 2x4GB for just under £30. Same 2x4GB kit 3 years later was nearly £70 Still, it's a far cry from the £189 my 2x8GB 3200 ddr4 cost.

I have 16GB of Corsair Vengeance (DDR3) 1866mhz which I bought for about $110 back 4 years ago for my current build....still quite happy with it overall lol.

Pricing now is just stupid.

Gamers Nexus said something interesting which will get its own video soon: coming from an employee of one of the three manufacturers; prices won't drop and there's no shortage. It's the 60% margin on server memory where most of the wafers go and they won't stop doing that because "we're making more money than god". Also, phone companies are willing to pay that premium to get chips as well.

I think we'll have to get used to the current prices for a long time to come.
