This will be a welcome change to Chrome.

Still not enough.
It it autoplays at all without an explicit opt-in, then it shouldn't happen.

Finally. My brain developed natural add blocker over the decades, but videos auto playing on websites are something it can't cope with.

Now if it could fix Failbooks videos from playing in max volume that'd be great.

This is a great development. I spend way to much time manually muting pages right now.
