Globalfoundries expects great things from 7nm - Clocks in the "5GHz Range"?

This could be the biggest game changer since Thunderbird and A64. Or not. 40% over Ryzen is a mighty ballsy statement, but they made the same projection for Ryzen and exceeded it considerably. Can't wait to see how this shakes out.

Note that this is 40% over 14nm, not Ryzen. These scaling levels may not apply perfectly to AMD's Ryzen 2 design. AMD needs to make good use of the process to get these advantages.

Good point. Still, rooting for the best outcome. AMD is the hero enthusiasts need, IMO.
 
Ryzen is 14nm with next months being 12nm so I would say this is 40% uplift to ryzen 1.
Regardless, the prospect looks really good
