I can wait. It's usually not a good idea to install big Windows updates immediately.

Yeah, there is no option to enable or disable it on my system. It could be toggled when I enter a game but I need to check this.

If you can't disable the game mode then I won't be installing this update as the game mode is currently broken and I can't play MWO with it on

Yeah, it can be disabled, it has to be done using the game bar though. This should mean that it is turned on/off on a game by game basis.

I used Hearthstone and it was turned off by default.

Quick question
If you do the advanced method and choose to do a clean install, does that mean it's like a full reinstall or does it keep all your files, docs, etc like a normal update, but just a more thorough update?

A clean install is a full reinstall, only the Update method keeps you files etc where they are currently.

I'm deferring this one for now and see how it goes. I'll be building a new system this weekend and have a GPT USB with the creator's update instead.

Originally I had planned to just put in the new hardware without a fresh install, even, but that may be problematic so fresh it is.
