Nvidia's GTX 1070 Ti is expected to use 9Gbps memory

This is the same memory that is used in some new GTX 1060 6GB GPUs.

Is it typo or did the GTX 1060 actually come with GDDR5X with their refresh?

It didn't, but they released higher clocked memory SKUs. Was vendor specific.
