Oculus' Head of Video has left the company

Oculus has lost a lot of talent in recent months.

Read more on Eugine Wei's departure from Oculus.

Yup this doesn't look good. Man am I glad I only dumped £150 into a headset. Oculus had supported the DK2 all the way up until recently when they started being aholes and won't let you set it up properly before use. In other words they are trying to force you to buy a expensive headset. Me? I've not even used mine since the change..

Ah well, it looks nice on my desk lol. Makes a nice ornament

I am hearing that Palmer Lucky is making posts on Reddit asking people if he should "Buy Vive", the company. I think he is bitter with the direction FB is taking with Oculus.

and yet... I am enjoying my CV1 Rift immensely. Fantastic system.

While I HATE Facebook and HATE the fact that they own Oculus I can only hope that this will get better.

Current price wars will hopefully breathe some life back into them. No new developments for a while yet (as in Gen 2) so looks like they are trying to make it affordable. Rift is $499, Vive is around $700 and the PS and MS versions have just had price drops as well.
