ASUS officially launches their ROG Strix XG27VQ FreeSync display

This monitor's got some nice features but there's no chance that I'd ever buy a curved monitor, especially a 27" curved.
I used to use a 40" monitor and at no point did I ever think it needed a curve. This fashion of curved monitors is just silly I think.

Sometimes it feels like we are going backward when it comes to monitors. 1080p on a 27" is to low a resolution on that screensize.. And 1080p on 32" is just crazy bad (seems to have become a thing that manufacturers started with recently).

Not to mention 4K at 27" (another screen of course).

I don't understand monitor mfgs these days at all. Curved panels this small?!? Pfft, that's dumb #1. Rainbow backlight, dumb #2. Motion blur tech? When has this been needed, ever? Dumb #3. Aura support? Really? On a MONITOR?!?! For a BACKLIGHT?!? Dumb #4. I see nothing good here except 144hz, which isn't really impressive on a 1080p panel.
