Can you fit a full X299 system into an MATX form factor?

Read more on MSI's MATX X299M Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard.

We get X299 MATX boards that are overpacked with connectivity, and still no X370 boards in MATX which would be perfect size for those boards since they offer even less connectivity than Z270. I really don't understand today's market.

I smell a saboteur behind the curtains...
In all seriousness though, I would like to know that as well. No mATX X370 boards made me ditch my Node 804 (Which, I'm still mad about)
I think it could possibly be something AMD's end as well. I mean they showed X300 and A300 (which I'm guessing will be AM4's mITX chipset) and there's still no sign of that at all. It got unveiled with the other chipsets, but seen or heard nothing since

Nice board, but honestly, still no mATX, hardly any mITX, well nothing thats caught my eyes, lets hope Threadripper has better mATX and mITX options, not that it'll be a cheap option.

Woah, just looked at that socket again, thats massive, only thought it as I use to have an Asrock X99 ITX with a 5930K.
Boy, thats a massive one!
I guess we'll mostly see ATX, I'm more mATX these days unless you show me an Extreme/Formula.
