Specifications for Intel's 12-18 core i9 X299 CPUs have leaked

What do you think of Intel's upcoming X299 CPUs?

Read more on these leaked X299 12-18 core Skylake-X specifications.

I'm not saying that 1984 is a bad book, but the dystopia we are currently living in has much better worldbuilding.

What we can see here is that Intel's higher core count offerings will not be making any major sacrifices when it comes to single-threaded performance, which is great news for consumers.
well yes and no.

it all comes down to if it you need such a cooler or not:

i would buy the 10 core.... i was ready to buy x299 this year and willing to spend a lot of my hard earned money on it.

but not with these temps.

at least these expensive 10+ core intel cpus are not PCIe lane eunuchs....

Intel can get bent.
$1000 for a 44 lane CPU? Yeah right.
