Intel are reportedly limiting Pentium G4560 CPU production to improve i3 sales

It looks like Intel's Hyperthreaded Pentium CPUs are cannibalising i3 sales.

Read more on Intel's reported limiting of Pentium G4560 production.

lol what did they expect? I use a joke from Eddie Murphy. It is about sex, and not getting any...

"If you were starving and some one threw you a cracker you would say GOD DAMN THAT'S THE BEST GOD DAMN CRACKER I EVER ATE IN MY LIFE ! *kisses fingers* WHAT WAS THAT? WAS THAT CHEESE OR SALTINE? WHY THAT WAS DELICIOUS !!!".

In other words entry level gamers were starving and Intel threw them a cracker. And now they've realised it and will be piggy piggy oink oink greedy.

I just love the absolutely vile and disgusting way these companies treat their customers and do business. No really, I really do. They could not possibly show a single ounce more contempt toward us than they do already.

And also this. £110 for a locked I3? *laughs until he collapses* I see another spanking coming and it's got AMD written all over it !

I recently bought an i3 7100 to use with my Media sever not realizing that Intel was offering hyper threading with the G4560. At $30 cheaper I would have grabbed the Pentium for sure.

Haha yeah, £109, a £45 price increase for just 400MHz more clock speed. Just outrageous

It's more than that. I3 is far far faster. More cache, faster cache, better/faster memory support. Has more integrated features that help lower power consumption, etc. It is much faster. But for a simple HTPC it's not needed.
