Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One X game install sizes will be larger

It has been confirmed that Microsoft's Xbox One X will have large game install sizes due to the use of large 4K assets. Even if users do not own a 4K screen.

I was under the impression a lot of people used external hard drives anyway for Xbox? Since you can't swap the internal one and they are so small and slow. My friend uses a 5TB external drive

You can swap the internal one....there is just no point as an external is easier and most of the time cheaper or the same price. The xbox supports just plugging an external drive into one of the USB ports on the xbox and you're all set to go.

You can change the settings to auto-install new games or purchases to the external drive as well helpful fact man away!

I thought it defaulted to the External one after you set it up? Eh can't remember. I helped him set up his external drive so long ago

I have six games on my XBONE and my drive is nearly full. They average about 50-70GB each so I'm not surprised the X will require more.. Externals are pretty cheap now.
