AMD is reportedly able to use 99.9% of Ryzen CPU dies

Wow... That is impressive. Their marketing team should learn a thing or two from their manufacturing department.

Neato :) this explains why the cheap ones are yet to materialise. Well, when I say cheap I mean 4T 4T etc.

Also explains why they sell the 1700 for £280.

Any north of 60% in die yield rate is 'damn good'. This is passed 'Excellent' with the needle pegged on 'Ridiculous'.

This piques my curiosity to find out what kind of figures AMD will net when they start producing 32 Core Epyc Chips.

Probably Samsung since the 14nm is based off there design.

14nm fabrication is a mature technology
