AMD and Nvidia are rumoured to be creating specific GPU SKUs for cryptocurrency mining to prevent shortages of gaming-oriented products.

I'd imagine resell value for special mining GPUs will be a lot lower than for gaming variants. Something to consider at least

Resale for mining GPUs is very low any way. Unless of course the person lies about it but it doesn't take long to find out. They live a very hard life.

If these new mining cards have no gaming outputs their resale value will be next to nothing.

The above will also have the effect of causing a shortage of gaming cards pushing up prices.

Maybe the reason we are not going to see any Vega cards anytime soon is they have all gone straight to mining (professional cards lol).
