AOC launches their 40-inch C4008VU8 curved 4K 10-bit display

AOC has now launched their new 40-inch C4008VU8 curved 4K 10-bit display, coming with an MVA panel and support for 85% of the NTSC colour gamut.

AOC make some pretty good value displays. Are they still using LG panels?

Edit - this thing is gorgeous too. Really nice looking.

WYP, since when is 5ms response time not good for gaming?

As for the display, surprised it is only 85% of the color NTSC gamut, considering 10bits.

Maybe he's just referring to more professional grade gaming, rather than casual gaming?...

I remember seeing somewhere most CS pro's use really fast panels at really low resolutions. Like a 144hz Benq running at 1024*768 or some ridiculous low number.

I'd agree though gaming on this would be fine - to the extent that you can game on any 4k monitor at the right settings with the right card... but then WYP may just be saying it's not targeted at the gaming market.

Plenty of PC owners don't game.
