AMD's Vega 10 GPU has appeared in Linux drivers

AMD's Vega 10 GPU has appeared in Linux drivers, with over 40 new lines of code to support the new hardware.

Vega will be out for a good ten months or more before Volta. That's a huge window of opportunity. Considering AMD's 'Master Plan' involves slow progress back to the top, that's what you would expect. Also there are the Vega 20 rumours, a shrunk down Vega 10 with improved memory configurations and much higher clock speeds.

10 months isn't bad compared to 18... So it's quite a leap forward.
Hope Vega is a powerhouse. I plan on getting one

I can't see AMD ever getting in front of Nvidia was there ever a time where AMD/ATi was ever in front of Nvidia i can't remember that's why i can never see it happening.

AMD has more of a chance in the CPU side BUT not in the GPU side.
