Nvidia has announced their GTX 1080Ti GPU

Nvidia has announced their GTX 1080Ti GPU, which offers more performance than their GTX Titan X Pascal.

11(!!)GB and 352-bit bus - they've literally just software-disabled that extra GB and 32-bits to segment the market - there's no way this is even remotely new - oh well at least it is cheaper than the TXP.

$911 AUD on direct conversion so I'd expect it to land here around $1200.

There may be no new tech here - but performance/dollar just changed significantly.

Amazing tech is nice and all, but if you cannot afford it (Titan) then it really does not matter much.

I'm wondering if sli 1080 is worth it now that a lot of people will be upgrading. Is sli still relevant or are developers not bothering with it anymore?

Nope, I actually find this card to be a real kick in the balls for Titan XP owners who have shelled out £1200 for pretty much the same card but with 1GB more memory.

Such business behavior I can't condone hence the 1080 will be my last Nvidia card.

I won't be software disabled, the physical 1GB of GDDR5X will not be there.
