The Irish government promises a minimum of 20Mbps by 2020 for all households as well. I'm still on 4Mbps with 0.4Mbps upload speeds. Siro has been rolled out to certain areas with up to 1000Mbps, but I'm still on 4Mb. /Sense

well ye, its the way they make it the 'average', dunno about ireland but in the uk i think its on the back of openreach, they do the plumbing as you could say, then everyone else plugs into it.

But at the end of the day what the people in charge think are good speeds aint really that good. Looking on the internet and youtube, then ok but when you compare it to other countrys and what we want its not that great.

And ye, dont get me started on the upto speeds that they advertise, that makes my blood boil.
