Ridiculous excuse really considering the UK already pays more than U.S even WITH the weakening of the £

That's what I thought. That and I can gaurantee if the £ regains over the $ they won't drop the £ price, they'll just up the $ price instead

U.S

U.K

At the current exchange rate, $199.99 is £159.65, not £167.99

At the suggest increased RRP of £199 that makes it $249.28, a full 25% more than a U.S customer will be paying.

It's more than a slight annoyance that the U.S always seems to get tech cheaper, even though I know the U.K is by far not the worst off in that regard.

What are import taxes, what are shipping costs.

That's a valid argument for a comparison of U.K/U.S when the item in question is developed in the U.S I suppose, ignoring that most shipping to suppliers (both U.S and U.K) would likely be done from the county of manufacture which is Malaysia.

It doesn't explain why pretty much all electronics/tech are more expensive in the U.K compared to the U.S since both countries have tax on purchases (VAT/Sales Tax).

That doesn't mean there are no import taxes. In my experience everything in the UK is more expensive not just tech. Maybe Trump will raise the import taxes and the US will have to pay more too.

Brexit didn't help with that either. Of course a lot of companys will have to raise their prices or will just use the opportunity.

Remember that UK prices include VAT and US prices do not include sales tax. The UK has 20% sales tax/VAT

It does make me laugh how it was cheaper to buy tech gear in Norway than it is in UK. Probably on par with each other now because of currency crash but I do believe you guys pay more than anyone in Europe...almost.

I think the Sonos stuff is a bit like the Apple stuff, people with too much money and no idea buy it...
