AMD's Ryzen stock coolers have been leaked

They are very useful, especially for budget builds. With low TDP non-overclocking Intel stuff there is sometimes no reason to get an aftermarket cooler.

Yeah agreed. My brother uses a stock cooler and his CPU(non k i5)never goes above 65C in any game. It's quiet too.

Let's be real here, those are going to be terrible and why wouldn't they be, they are so easy to replace, no point in developing a better one. As long as a stock cooler keeps the CPU from exploding it does its job as far as i am concerned.

Are you sure about it being quiet? I was stuck with the stock cooler while i was getting a replacement for the H60 and it was unbearable. Doesn't look like it has changed since then.

Yep I am sure. I used a stock cooler for probably about a year when I built my first PC like 5 years back and it wasn't bad. At startup it's loud because it goes straight to 100% but it spins back down after a couple seconds. So I also know firsthand it's not bad. Now granted OC headroom is next to none, but if you undervolt them(which I did for mine, but not his) then they will barely spin up.

It was tolerable on idle but at soon as i started playing anything it got so loud my headphones couldn't keep the noise out. To be fair it was a fairly hot summer, but it was still too loud to tolerate for me.

Hmm.. never had that issue.
Just checked too, brother said his stock 480 is louder than the intel cooler.
