This lawsuit is regarding IP that was allegedly stolen from Zenimax and was created primarily by John Carmack.

Apparently, he made an early VR prototype when he worked at iD software and some of that code and knowledge ended up in the Oculus.

Which made the guy behind Oculus a multi-millionaire, with $430 million in wealth.

After Facebook bhought the Oculus company for over $2 billion in 2014.

So if this lawsuit favours ZeniMax, could it be the beginning of Facebook's downfall?

$2 billion is barely enough to hurt Facebook, though it is enough to hamper any of Oculus' future plans.

Facebook is worth ~$350 billion. And regardless of who this trial will favor, i'm fairly sure they won't be paying $2 billion.

Zenimax and Bethesda are sue happy. It's wrong really, they just go around throwing their weight around and suing people.

Maybe this time they actually have a case? because the last few were settled out of court. I wish they would stop going around suing people and actually concentrate on better games. Fallout 4 was a disaster really. Went back to it the other day and god damn it's ugly.
