Yep AVG is bollocks you'd be better off with MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) which is free. Avast has improved but nothing on Kaspersky or ESET Nod 32.

Those aren't equal comparisons. A free AV will not be as great as the Premium AV in Kasp or BD. ESET is OK. Not the greatest. MSE doesn't exist anymore, last supported for W7. I think it's integrated into 8/10 as the new default if none is installed
