Unlocked frame rates are now enabled for UWP games

Later today Windows 10 will be receiving an update that will allow UWP applications to be played with an unlocked framerates and to offer support for G-Sync and FreeSync displays.

I guess it's a step in the right direction. Until they offer a completely open platform that allows us to do what we've always done with our games then it'll be a very limited number of people that truly adopt UWP. I realise it's a new approach, and won't be perfect off the bat, but simple stuff like letting us look at/edit configuration files shouldn't need to be asked for.

Indeed, this is a step in the right direction, but Microsoft will need to work harder in order to get people to actually play games on it.

They have a huge amount of negativity to cancel out with the PC gaming community.

I wouldn't even clap, the moment i clap is when they abandon the thing entirely, but that probably wont happen.
