DirectX 12 option appears on Rise of the Tomb Raider

DirectX 12 options have been discovered in Rise of the Tomb Raider's game files, revealing that the game may be patched to support the new API at a later date.

Doesn't really change anything just because it changes it's API. Still relies on Devs/AMD/Nvidia.

Not really sure this is going to improve much by just implementing a simple patch to DX12, I'm just patiently waiting for games that are built on the DX12 from the ground up.

While that's ideal, it's still possible to get the full benefit just adding support to it. Just depends I'd say. Although I would agree if for example a company decides to make a new engine then I think without a doubt not support DX12 from the ground up would be a little wasted tbh. Adding support for DX11 should be the way it's done and not the other way around. But meh we'll see how it ends up in a couple years
