Samsung to start making new 14nm chips for AMD

Samsung is rumored to start making new 14nm FinFET chips for AMD in 2016.

this can only be a good thing for AMD. fingers crossed with Zen if their IPC improvements over Excavator are true, along with having a smaller node they can get back in the game

Called it months ago
Pretty much they will be using the 14nm LPP Finfet design that Samsung created and Global Foundaries and Samsung are reported to produce these. Now all that's left is who will manufacturer the HBM 2.0? Wonder if Samsung will also be doing that. Can't remember who is making them now. Also don't think 14nm would work for it, it'll probably the same as now.
