Asus & MSI GTX950 Face Off

With the latest nVidia GPU landing in our offices we thought it was the perfect time to see how it fairs against the previously excellent x50 series, and ASUS Strix and MSI Gaming are the cards we chose.

Nice fun review thank you. I think I would go with the MSI, mostly because it looks more substantial but the Strix could be good for ITX rigs

Aye my first thoughts too They are ridiculously close, leaves no room for a Ti model, unless they Ti the 960.

GTX950 £130
GTX960 £160

Not bad at all. Really needs to be compared to the 370 though given they have similar price point's, (although only 4GB version of the 370, 2GB version is notably cheaper). Looks like nvidia has a great budget card on their hands, although extensive comparisons must be made.

960Ti coming for sure, 960 was a joke given its price point, even more so now that this is out.

Kinda think there should be more cards in the same price bracket in the graphs to compare it to. All well and good showing how it fares against a 980ti but people would generally want to know how it performs against other similar priced cards.

Shame they didn't manage to keep it under 65w this time though.

Those who may want a smaller version, we do have a slightly cut-down model without TFV cooling here: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...14&subcat=2392

Why are all of MSI's best looking product mediocre in performance?

Haha its the 970 to 980 fiasco again. Similar performance but gimped memory. Well maybe not exactly like the 970.... At least I would hope not.

Given the fact that the 750ti was already using the Maxwell architecture, it shouldn't be all that since prising that the power consumption is a bit higher, given the performance increase anyways.
