Intel Invests Further in Graphics

Intel's injecting some cash into the coffers of an Israeli company that aims to provide a graphics acceleration traffic organising chip that can support up to four graphics processing units (GPUs) simultaneously.It'll certainly be interesting to see what new developments this new product will make in the world of enthusiast gaming. Hmmph.

I`ve always wondered if - if u had 2 gfx cards;

a] GF 8950GTX++ 1G (Shader, lighting, and other effects bone by 1 GPU)

b] GF 4200ti x 4 1G - (Dynamically using 1 of 4 GPU to do tasks as required), with obviously up2d8 pcb characteristics.

Like a Quad core processor, in effect, but 4 chips.

From what I can see, Lucid are developing their own processing chip, not just a controller.
