Razer have announced a new Open Source Virtual Reality Platform Called OSVR. Will it become the Android of VR?

Razer and Open Source?! Ok ok what's the catch, because this doesn't sound believable to me.

Razer can just bribe a bunch of popular Youtubers to use at and that'll get some sales for them.

Razer do have their heart in the right place I think, I just don't trust/like them much.
