Valve's Source Engine Goes Multi-Core

Very shortly you should be receiving a special update from Valve, as they have optimised the source engine for multi-core systems. Hopefully, this will see some nice performance increases, and none of the inherent bugs associated with Valves updates of the past. This should be a big one. Care to comment? Feel free to do so below...

I was gonna relay this article to ya a few days ago PV but it completely slipped my head! This is great news since Source is probably the most widely used game engine at the moment. Unfortunately I don't think we are going to see any real-world improvements with the multi-threading on this specific engine. I say this because a freakin' Pentium 2 with onboard graphics can damn near play Source We'll see what happens! The greatest benefit is going to be for the dedicated server end, now we can really run multiple servers
