Will only add the confusion I personally have with - Why the eff can my sky+ box do so much more than my more expensive pc ?

With MCE you can do pretty much the same as a Sky+ box - if you have a nice recording card for MCE. I've used it and it works very well

Just looking at some of the requirements for the card to be of any use, 1gb ram - check, 2CD CPU - bugger, looks like I am waiting for a while then as a new card that is HD ready will mean a new build for me, so wait a bit till prices drop.
