Microsoft's Hard Stance Against Vista Piracy

Does Window's Genuine Advantage bother you? Well, get ready for the new anti-piracy controls that Microsoft has incorporated into Vista. Do you think being limited to a browser for an hour at a time is a little harsh if you're using pirated software? Feel free to comment below...

#Note: OC3D Forum has a zero tolerance to talk of warez and pirated software. If you feel the need to state your arguement for pirated software, and why you think it's ok....don't! (you have been warned)

Yeh, I find it comical that they've announced this the day before they admit that WGA is locking some genuine users out of XP.

We don`t talk about cracks on here, but I`ll just say 1 will be out days before Visa hits the streets.

How dumb r they to think anything they do control wize isn`t going to be counter acted ? Better software companies than m$ try thier best and fail.

And it would seem that the steps they`re walking are harming `genuine` users - how dull is that ?

who said "nobody will be able to crack it" wasnt microsoft for sure. Is it not common sense that if a human creates a copy protection, then a human can break it.

I actually hope this works, My windows is fully legit and my vista will be aswell and for anyone who cant be bothered to pay around £100 for the most important software on their pc then they deserve no more than an hour

Ofcourse someone will crack it but the harder ms makes it the better I say

Like Hyper, I had to pay for a licence, so why shouldn't everyone else?

The only caveat I would make to that, is for Education - I think Microsoft should make some large concessions with the terms of the licencing agreements for Schools/Colleges and the like.
