MSI Warns of Stolen 7900GS Video Cards

We strongly suggest you not to purchase the aforementioned VGA cards, the real MSI VGA card for channel is using red PCB as below. If you have already purchased such green PCB VGA card, we appreciate if you can inform us with whom you bought it. We are now asking police for help and we apologize for the inconvenience to you.

Thank you for using MSI products.

The letter to us owners. Unfortunately, I fall into the owner category.. and indeed the card is failing. The day I got it, the card kicked butt. 600/1700 was totally stable. That was on stock air too. Now it's slowly deteriorating, I'm down to 600/1500 and thats with heatsinks everywhere and watercooling. It uses the Samsung memory like the original problematic 7900GT series. I've contacted them about it, we'll see what happens.

Update: woot.com has kindly stepped up and helped out us owners, by automatically extending our "woot" warranty from 90 days to two years! Unfortunately, you can only get a refund though. (For your full payment amount..) A big kudos to woot.com

No wonder woot was able to put the price down so low. Someone on eBay was also selling a bunch of those

Ouch! So you got one of these "Green" PCB cards? Where did you get it from? It really sucks if you don't get help with it.

No need to start rumors. Lets wait and see if we hear more from them.

Crikey, recieving stolen goods Certainly sounds a bit like a bit of a horrid situation. Especially for those who have forked out money for them, and yet they have no recourse for action (if they were'nt purchased through woot).

$150 buckers. woot is offering me a refund though. I may jump on an X850XTPE @ Newegg for $120 retail.
