Apple Recalls Some MacBook Pro Batteries

"The recall is only for batteries that were included with the 15-inch MacBook Pro. Affected batteries are ones with model number A1175 and have a 12-digit serial number ending with U7SA. U7SB or U7SC." - Dailytech

Yeah, the batteries heat up like the Dells but not quite as hot. It can cause deformation of the macbook case (melting, etc.)

erm ok so my battery has that A1175

ends in U7SC

that can't be good

thanks for the headsup btw, just put my order in...

as daft as it sounds it was getting pretty darn warm

Is this because the cases were going funny colours? or because the batteries we blowing up?

Melting or disforming. Staining is another issue with the MBP case, where your hands go it tends to turn a yellow or brownish.
