Radeon HD 5800 series price rises while supplies drop

Thanks to poor chip yields at TSMC and a lack of any competition, it looks like the 5800 series is going to be scarce and expensive for a while

With respect, this is a nothing article.

The prices have rised, to be expected tbh.

As opposed to the hard handed anti-nVidia - "price rise to rape the community", this is being massaged.

All we have in any way of news regarding tsmc are "there are a few reports". The same reports were saying "nvidia's yields are @ 2% or so" which was bolox.

On the grapevine I/we here tsmc's yields are improving from some 20 to 30 to 40 % and enjoying huge profits. (nvidia have also revealed Q3 profits recently) - which could also be bolox (apart from the nvidia thing which is published)

Could there ever be a sense of equality amoungst articles regarding these camps ?
