PNY Extend XLR8 Warranty

Warranty procedure is poor

I just had an 8800 GTX OC PNY card fail under the 3 year warranty. They sent me a refurbished GTX 260. No Box, no paperwork, only the card in a bubble wrap. I emailed them about this and they jumped all over me and slapped their fine print on me that they were no way under obligation to provide a new card. I don't even know if I can register it. I don't think I can because they say my warranty continues from the first failed card.

Well - the refurbished card is bad after just a couple of days. It artifacts - and the clock speeds

of the card show much slower than they should be - and cannot be changed without failure. Example... core clock should be 576 - it runs @ 341. Memory is less than half its rated speed and so on.

Do not trust these people, dont know what they are going to do about this one yet.

Whilst I agree they shouldn't go mad and quote their terms and conditions, they can't moan about sending you a GTX260, not your fault.

But to tell people not to trust them is a bold move to make on one such case.

I am basing it not only on my experience - but from mine and multiple other reviews - some from reputable reviewers @ magazine sites.

have you got a source? i mean you cannot make a claim like that without solid proof! where's ur links to these reputable reviewers from magazines??

Omg

Look - that was my experience - that is all that matters. Do a search and you will have no trouble finding evidence. Look for PNY warranty.

BFG swapped my 8800 GTX's for GTX 260's when they went bad....

and yes they were refurb cards too.

I believe that they have to offer you a six month warranty on an rma replacement by law.

I could be wrong but I dont think you are allowed to sell / replace a product and not offer some form of guarantee that it is not free of faults.

Maybe a little visit to C.A.B. if they get the grumpy with you.
